TEAM PROFILES

RICHARD BOX alias “Trickie”
Richard was born and raised in Malvern, Worcestshire.
Over the years, Richard has acquired extraordinary “Camel Man” survival skills, honed through many exploits in the Welsh mountains and various African countries, where he has often used his skills to assist the advancement of intrepid 4x4-ers whose development could have been “temporarily impeded”.
Richard is a master of mud, water, rocks and hills.  He is whole heartedly supported in this African expedition by his wife Sue, his daughter Amber and his two lovely grandchildren, Hallie and Sam.
He is a vital part of the Boudicca Travels Africa team, and is freely shares his culinary skills.  The team is constantly appreciative of Rich’s observations of life and his deduction skills.  He also happily shares his ‘musical trumpeting’ ability with the team – “in’t it Rich?”
TEAM MEMBER NO. 2
MARTIN DOMINIC SMITHSON alias “Nitram”
With his heart in 2 continents, Martin is well versed and very well travelled.  Like “Trickie” he has acquired many 4x4 skills and has very strong navigational ability, which will be majorly depended on during the Boudicca Travels Africa “low road” expedition through largely unexplored Africa.
Martin manages to invoke  ‘search and rescue’ behaviour in the team, as they continually search for his lost property, whilst he remains “as cool as a cucumber”.    He has however committed to no longer asking “where is it?”.   Martin would go through hell and high water to help others in trouble.   He is as generous spirited as he is patient.
Martin has a very close relationship with “Ethel”, the ‘woman’ he is able to totally engage with.  The Boudicca Travels Africa team is fully respectful of this relationship.
Martin looks forward to reconnecting with Christine in Greyton, SA,   as well as his daughters Sim, Mo and Rachel and his wonderful grandchildren  in Castlemorton and St. Osythes, on his return to the UK.

TEAM MEMBER NO. 3
BRONNIE VILLET - “ Le Papillon” is the youngest member of the trio.  Happy by nature Bronnie remains consistently a power house of happiness, charging all around with vitality and mirth.
As a qualified ‘Life Coach’ Le Papillon brings, light, clarity, dexterity and a discipline - combined with a masterly command of communication skills – to the party.
These skills and attributes combined, make Bronnie a ‘must’ for an extraordinary expedition such as the trio have embarked upon.   She injects the high octane viscous into the oils lubricating the wheels of our progress along the ‘difficult’ route down from Castlemorton to Cape Town.
En route Bronnie and the team will strive to bring happiness to as many folk as possible, particularly to the SOS children village in Lilongwe, Malawi.
Bronnie’s son Nick, and her partner Mike, have been the driving forces behind her taking on this amazing opportunity
